A customer stops in with a poor heat condition. We check all the normal problems that occur and they all seem to be ok. We advise the customer of a possible bad heater core. The customer approved the job and we started the work. While taking apart the interior of the car we notice a large amount of bird seed falling from the dash. We remove the heater box and found a complete mouse home furnished with bird seed, which was blocking the heater core. The customer told us that they heard something every morning when they entered the garage but did not realize it was a problem. This mouse was smart enough to enter the car while it was warm from driving and leave when the owner came in the garage. The customer stopped storing bird seed in the garage.
